Mr. Tyler’s journey with the company began at the age of 15 in 1987. Over his 30+ years of dedicated service, he has held various notable positions such as Executive Chef, Chief Operating Executive, and Staff Accountant. Throughout his tenure, he has made significant contributions to several Heart of America restaurants, including Machine Shed Rockford, Machine Shed Urbandale, Machine Shed Davenport, Thunder Bay Davenport, Plant Earth Cafe, and Crabby’s, playing a crucial role in several of their successful openings.
Notably, Mr. Tyler’s exceptional culinary skills have earned him prestigious accolades, including the esteemed Chef of the Year title in the State of Iowa in 2008. In 2023, he was promoted to the position of Vice President of Operations, overseeing the Machine Shed and Gramma’s Kitchen & Checkered Flag brands. Apart from his professional pursuits, he also finds joy in coaching youth basketball, softball, and volleyball when he’s not immersed in his diverse range of business responsibilities.
