Housed at the epicenter of Iowa’s entertainment capital, this super-regional open-air power center will introduce a collection of the nation’s finest retailers and businesses to the central and eastern Iowa markets. At the center of the development stands The Outlets of Des Moines, a 300,000 square-foot retail center. This shopping destination is surrounded by nearly 500,000 square feet of additional retail and commercial space, restaurants, and hotels. Prairie and Wrightian features are incorporated into the large pedestrian walkways, calm water features, and unique storefronts. The hardscape, lighting, and signage follow the same Craftsman design. Prairie Crossing will satisfy the retail demand that has been building for many years in the central and eastern Iowa markets.
