Seth Van Deest
Construction & Development Controller
After graduating Drake University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting & finance in 2014, Mr. Van Deest joined Heart of America as a property accountant in May of 2015.
In 2018, Mr. Van Deest transitioned to construction accounting, where he is responsible for accounting and budgeting for all new builds and remodels of the company’s hotel, restaurant, and retail properties. Over the years, his responsibilities have expanded to include fixed asset management, property tax management, property accountant training, and assisting with year-end closings and audits.
