Mr. Scheel’s illustrious career in the hospitality industry spans over three decades, beginning at the age of 17 when he started as a bartender in a local tavern in a small town. Since then, he has ventured into various roles within the restaurant, hotel, and resort sectors, working with renowned brands across Midwest and West Coast hospitality establishments. He attended the University of Wisconsin Fox Valley and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
In 2017, Mr. Scheel embarked on a new chapter of his career by joining Heart of America as the Chief Operating Executive and facilitated the opening of Hilton Garden Inn and Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse in Sun Prairie. His exceptional leadership and dedication earned him several accolades, including the esteemed titles of Hilton’s General Manager of the Year and Hilton’s Top 5%. In 2023, he was promoted to the position of Vice President of Operations, responsible for overseeing multiple Heart of America properties in Wisconsin.
